Oil painting on canvas, framed, 24" X 36" - $5,500.00 Artist enhanced giclee on canvas, not framed, 12" x 18" - $125.00 Amid the spectacular beauty of the colorado foothills I tried several experiments which worked well in my judgement. I intensified slightly the shadow color which brightened the color in the light. I stayed away from stating the darks as dark as I would normally paint them, which gives the feel of a higher key, as though a very light veil is over everything, a worldly yet unworldly feel. I also painted everything with a painting knife to get a consistant feel in the paint itself. Later I went in with a brush to refine details.
