The feathers of the Golden Eagle were greatly prized by the plains Indians. This hunter from the Piegan branch ]of the Blackfoot Nation has caught his quarry by placing bait on top of a pit in which he was hidden. Having caught the bird, the difficult part begins - He must kill the eagle without using weapons. This was a painting that was fun to execute with interweaving linear rythms between the eagle and the hunter.
